What to Expect Before

Just like other operations, you will need to consult your cosmetic plastic surgeon. Normally, it gives you the opportunity to ask questions regarding the breast surgery. Also, this is the time when the surgeon will ask you to do few things and follow certain directions. Some of this involves avoiding smoking, drugs, certain food, and drinks. The surgeon ill also assess your entire body’s health and condition to make sure that you are eligible to have the surgery. 


What to Expect During

On the day of your breast augmentation, it is important to bring a companion to assist you after. On your operation, you will be under general anesthesia so as not to feel anything and while under an unconscious state. Or, there will be a chance that the surgeon will have you under sedative or local anesthetic. This will give you a conscious state but, you will not feel any discomfort.

The breast surgery will involve incision either around the areola or the side of the breast. Wherever the incision will occur, that is for you and your doctor to decide. What to Expect After

Sometimes, it only takes about 3-4 days or, it might last for about 3-4 weeks. You are required to wear a surgical bra to avoid any complications. For the entire recovery stage, you are not allowed to do heavy activities. Scars will also be present on the breasts but these are likely to disappear after few weeks or months.
